Your warranty is
our reputation!

At Rocky Mountain Steel, your account is part of our family – whether you’re a small operation or a major company. We will always work to re-earn your order, and there’s no problem too small or too big for us to handle.

Our Mission

Rocky Mountain Steel is a steel component manufacturing company servicing heavy-duty industries in the intermountain region. We’re dedicated to making reliable, longer-lasting custom steel solutions from exceptional products.

Our Rocky Mountain Family

We’re a family-run business that always treats its employees and its customers like family. We’re always looking for new ways to help you. When we purchase new equipment or add trucks, it’s to give our customers a quicker turnaround.

We aim to be a key player in the steel component manufacturing industry in the intermountain region, and want to always be known as a place where customers trust that we’ve got their best interests at heart.

Founder

I’m Russ Maughan, Rocky Mountain’s founder. I’ve been in the steel industry since college and worked as general manager at a steel warehouse before founding the company in 1997.

I started the company because a trusted client from a former job asked me to start my own business and promised to be my first customer. We started out with a truck, a trailer, and a couple of cell phones, today we have two locations and we serve five locations across the intermountain region – Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming – to serve our valued customers.

It’s my personal belief that your warranty is our reputation, and we stand by that promise.
